Who We Are

St Anthony's School is a co-educational Catholic Primary School for Year 1 to Year 8 students, nestled in beautiful Seatoun, Wellington. For over 100 years, our core purpose has been to provide a holistic Catholic education. Every aspect of our kura – from our programmes to our vibrant atmosphere – reflects the teachings and values of Jesus Christ, as lived through the Catholic Church and guided by the Archbishop of Wellington.

Inspired by the traditions of our founding Sisters of Mercy and the qualities embodied by our patron St Anthony - compassion, service, and a love of learning - our school blends timeless values with forward-thinking education.

Our whare system helps turn every tamariki into a valued part of our kura whānau.
At St Anthony’s, our small size is our strength. We build strong relationships through Whakawhanaungatanga, making sure every child feels known, supported, and truly belongs.

Leadership is nurtured from day one, with tamariki encouraged to step up in big and small ways. This journey culminates in our Student Council, where senior students lead with pride and purpose—including guiding our whare teams and shaping our school’s shared spirit.
